Get your items ready for Square
Bringing a product list into Square's item library? Match your columns to Square's item fields, fill in the required Variation Name, clean up prices, and download a file for Square's importer.
How it works
Add your file and we match it to Square's item fields: Item Name, Variation Name, SKU, Description, Categories and Price. Square needs a Variation Name on every row, so "Regular" is filled in unless you have a size or option column. The Token column stays empty, which tells Square these are new items.
Square accounts with several locations or taxes have extra columns. If the importer asks for them, export your item library from Square and paste these columns into that file. Import under Items & services → Item library → Actions → Import library.

Why is "Regular" in every row?
Square treats every item as having at least one variation. "Regular" is the name it uses for items without sizes or options.
Is this an official Square tool?
No. It is an independent free tool that follows Square's published item import guide. Square previews the import before anything changes.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Your file is read by your own browser and reshaped on your device.
