Inkwell Data / File converter / XML to CSV
Convert XML to CSV
Turn XML exports and feeds into a flat CSV file you can open in Excel.
How it works
The repeating element in your XML, such as each <order> or <item>, becomes a row. Its attributes and child elements become columns, and nested elements become dotted column names like address.city.
Drop your XML file above, check the preview, and click Convert & download. CSV is already selected, but you can pick Excel, JSON or any other format.

Questions
Which element becomes a row?
The element that repeats most often under one parent, such as every <book> inside <catalog>. Its attributes become columns starting with @, and its child elements become columns.
What happens to nested elements?
They become dotted column names, for example <address><city> becomes address.city. Repeated child elements with plain text are joined with a semicolon.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion happens in your own browser. There is no server receiving your data, no account and no daily limit.
